How do I silence and clear a fire alarm?
Press the OFF key to silence the fire alarm — no security code is needed to silence it. To clear the Memory of Alarm display, enter your security code and press the OFF key again. If the FIRE display does not clear after the second OFF sequence, smoke detectors may still be responding to smoke or heat, and you should eliminate the source or fan the detector for about 30 seconds.
