How do I test my security system, and how often should I do it?

You should test your system weekly and after any alarm occurs. To run a walk test, disarm the system, close all protected windows and doors, then enter your security code followed by the TEST [5] key and press [0] for the walk test option. Open each protected door and window in turn and listen for three beeps from the touchpad, then walk in front of any interior motion detectors. If any protection point fails to produce confirming sounds or a display, call for service immediately. (Page 36)
