What are the six Control Valve functions and what does each one do?

The six functions are Filter, Backwash, Rinse, Closed, Drain, and Circulate. Filter is used 99% of the time to clean and return pool water; Backwash cleans the sand bed by reversing water flow out of Port D; Rinse levels the sand bed after backwashing; Closed stops water flow between the filter and pool; Drain removes water from the pool out of Port D; and Circulate bypasses the sand filter to collect debris in the Debris Screens.
