How close to the anti-tip bracket does the appliance need to be raised?

The appliance must be raised to within 5/16" (8 mm) of the anti-tip bracket, and preferably touching it. This is required to prevent tip-over. Improper positioning can cause the anti-tip bracket to fail. (Page 53)
