How much detergent should I use in my Bosch dishwasher?

With soft water, 1 tablespoon (15ml) of detergent will clean most loads, and you should never use more than 3 tablespoons (45ml). The amount varies by cycle and water hardness — for example, the Heavy cycle with hard water requires 45ml, while the Delicate cycle with soft water requires only 15ml. If you do not know your water hardness, start with 15ml and increase only as needed. (Page 9)
