What should I check first if my printer seems to have a problem?

First check that the power cord is connected correctly and the machine is on, all orange protective parts have been removed, paper is inserted correctly in the paper tray, and interface cables are securely connected. For network models, verify that the access point, router, or hub is turned on with a blinking link indicator.
