Where is the safest place to install a child restraint in the Lucerne?
Accident statistics show that children are safer when restrained in the rear seat rather than the front seat, and the manual recommends securing all child restraints — including rear-facing infant seats, forward-facing seats, and booster seats — in the rear seat. A label on the sun visor states 'Never put a rear-facing child seat in the front' because of the serious risk if the airbag deploys. Never secure a child restraint in the center front seat, as the right front passenger's airbag could badly injure or kill a child in that position. (Page 53)
