Where should child restraints be installed in my vehicle?
Accident statistics show that children are safer if they are restrained in the rear rather than the front seat. We recommend that child restraints be secured in a rear seat, including rear-facing infant seats, forward-facing child seats, and booster seats. Rear-facing child restraints should never be put in the front unless the passenger airbag is off. (Page 68)
