How do you deal with a weak battery when starting my riding mower?

If your battery is too weak, charge it first before attempting to start. Alternatively, use jumper cables: connect both ends of the red cable to positive terminals, then black cable to negative terminal on charged battery, and ground the other end away from chassis and fuel tank. (Page 32)
