What are the barcoding instructions for specimen tubes?

All tubes must be barcoded prior to sample collection, with the barcode affixed longitudinally on the tube keeping the barcode number on the left side. Barcode F is used for Blood Sugar Fasting and barcode PP for Blood Sugar Post Prandial, and these should not be used for Random sugar samples. The barcode should not cover the entire tube as this blocks physical viewing of the sample for gross hemolysis, lipemia, and sample volume. (Page 10)
