What is the correct order of draw for multiple specimen collection?
The recommended order of draw is: Blood Culture bottle, White Top (No Additive), Light Blue Top (Sodium citrate), Gold Top SST (Gel Separator), Red Top (No Additive), Green Top (Sodium heparin), Royal Blue Top (K2 EDTA), Lavender Top (EDTA), Grey Top (Sodium fluoride), Yellow Top (ACD). It is critical that complete mixing of blood collected with additive is accomplished as quickly as possible. (Page 11)
