How do I empty the dirty water tank?

Unplug the unit then press and lift the locking latch on top to release the dirt tank. Unscrew its bottom cap counterclockwise, dispose of waste thoroughly and rinse well. Screw lid back on and push down handle until you hear a click (see steps 1-3) (Page 12).
