What should I do if my dishwasher is making noise?

Some sounds are normal, including hard food disposal shredding action, the drain valve opening to pump water out, timer control sounds as the cycle progresses, the detergent cup opening, and the motor stopping during the drying period. If utensils are not secure in the rack or something small has dropped into the rack, make sure everything is secured in the dishwasher. (Page 19)
