What water temperature is required for the dishwasher to clean effectively?

The entering water must be at least 120°F and not more than 150°F for effective cleaning and to prevent dish damage. You can check the water temperature using a candy or meat thermometer placed in a glass while running the hot water faucet nearest the dishwasher. Adjust your water heater if needed. (Page 12)
