What happens if I use the wrong type of detergent in my GSD500?

You must use only powder or liquid detergent specifically made for use in dishwashers. Other types will cause oversudsing. If sudsing detergents are used, you should let suds evaporate, add 1 gallon of cold water to the tub, close and latch the dishwasher, and pump out water by slowly turning the control dial until a drain period is reached.
