Why are there spots and film on my glasses and flatware, and how do I fix it?

Spots and film are commonly caused by hard water, low inlet water temperature, or an empty rinse agent dispenser. Use Jet-Dry rinse agent to remove spots and prevent new film buildup. For stubborn existing film, run the longest cycle without detergent, and after 18–22 minutes pour 2 cups of white vinegar into the bottom of the dishwasher and allow the cycle to complete. (Page 21)
