How do I install and use the water filter for my GE Profile Opal Ice Maker?

Remove the mesh screen from the lower-left corner of the water reservoir and insert the Opal Water Filter with the filter plug facing away from you and finger grips closest to you. Push the filter down until it clicks into place, then hold the filter button to reset the filter tracker. Note that only the Opal Water Filter from GE Appliances is compatible, and you should remove the filter before cleaning the ice maker.
