What is the correct way to use liquid bleach in this washer?

Before starting the washer, pour the measured amount of liquid bleach directly into the bleach dispenser — never pour undiluted liquid chlorine bleach directly onto clothes or into the wash basket. If you prefer powdered bleach, add it into the wash basket with your detergent, not into the bleach dispenser. Never mix chlorine bleach with ammonia or acids such as vinegar or rust remover, as mixing can produce a toxic gas which may cause death. (Page 10)
