How do I know if the car seat installation is tight enough?
Grab the sides of the seat where the LATCH strap or vehicle seat belt is routed and slide the car seat side-to-side and front-to-back. If the seat moves less than 1 inch (2.5 cm), it is tight enough. This test should be performed at the belt path after every installation. (Page 38, 46)
