What should I do if the level indicator shows red when using the base?

If red is showing in the level indicator on the base, the infant restraint is not properly reclined and you must adjust it. Turn the knob counter-clockwise to lower the foot, or clockwise to raise the foot. If red still appears when the foot is completely extended, place a rolled towel under the foot until only blue shows in the indicator.
