What does the R Slider Tab do and how do I set it?

The R Slider Tab differentiates between one and two transformer systems. Set the slider to the up position (1 wire) if there is only one R wire connected to the R, Rc, or RH terminal. Set it to the down position (2 wires) if you have one wire on the R terminal and one wire on the Rc terminal.
