How do I perform a system test to verify heating, cooling, and fan operation after installation?

Press and hold the CENTER and arrow buttons for approximately 3 seconds to enter the advanced menu, then navigate to TEST and press Select to enter System Test. Use the arrow buttons to switch between Heat, Cool, Fan, and Em Heat modes, pressing the up arrow to turn stages on one at a time and the down arrow to turn them off. Press the Home button to exit the System Test when finished. Note that compressor protection is bypassed during testing, so avoid cycling the compressor quickly to prevent equipment damage. (Page 11)
