How do I clean and maintain the cloth dust bag?

Remove the cloth bag from the upper plastic clip and disconnect the bottom plastic flange from the hood by pressing lightly on the indent on the flange. Turn the cloth bag upside down and shake gently (Fig. 8). The cloth bag can be washed by hand in warm water with a mild detergent. (Page 6)
