What should I do before starting to clean?
Before beginning cleaning, vacuum thoroughly; check upholstery codes for compatibility with wet cleaning methods; test detergents on a hidden area for colorfastness. For carpets and bare floors, move furniture out of the path or protect wood finishes from water sprays as necessary. (Pages 9-10)
