What are the disadvantages of connecting the T520 via USB cable instead of a network?

When using a USB connection, the cable is of limited length and it is more difficult to share the printer with other users. Additionally, you cannot use Web Services or automatic firmware updates when connected via USB. Only cables certified by the USB Implementor's Forum (http://www.usb.org/) should be used, as non-certified USB cables can lead to connectivity problems.
