How do I correctly install the HP Photosmart software to avoid USB connection errors?
You must install the HP Photosmart software before connecting the USB cable to your computer. If you connected the USB cable before being prompted, disconnect it, uninstall the software, restart your computer, and then reinstall the software — only connecting the USB cable when the installation screen instructs you to do so.
