How do I prevent my laptop from sleeping when I close the lid while using an external monitor?
Open the Control Panel, select 'Power Options,' then choose 'Choose what closing the lid does.' Under the 'Plugged in' section, select 'Do nothing' and save the changes. This allows the laptop to continue operating with the external monitor even when the lid is closed.
