Why shouldn't I use commercial oven cleaners on my self-cleaning oven?
No commercial oven cleaners or protective coatings of any kind should be used in or around any part of the oven. If residue from these cleaners remains on the oven surface, it can scar the oven and damage metal parts the next time the oven is automatically cleaned. (Page 23)
