How should I store my K-Cafe if I'm not using it?

Empty the water reservoir before storing or transporting, and store the coffee maker in its upright position in a safe, frost-free environment to avoid water leakage. If stored in a cold environment, water may freeze inside and cause damage. Before using it again after storage, clean the water reservoir with soap and fresh water, and descale the coffee maker. If the machine has been in freezing temperatures, let it warm to room temperature for at least 2 hours before using. (Page 6)
