How should I store my K Cafe if I'm not using it for an extended period?

Empty the water reservoir before storing or transporting the coffee maker, and always store it in its upright position in a safe, frost-free environment to avoid water leakage from the inner tank. If the coffee maker has been in a freezing environment, allow it to warm to room temperature for at least 2 hours before using. When preparing to use it after storage, clean the water reservoir with soap and fresh water and perform a descale cycle. (Page 6)
