Can I use this charger for charging NICAD or other types of batteries that are not specified?

No, the charger should only be used to charge 12V Lead Acid, GEL, AGM and Lithium (LiFePO4) batteries. Charging any other type listed outside the manual could lead to damage. (Page 6)
