Why is ice forming on my air conditioner, and how do I fix it?

Ice may form on the cooling coils and block airflow, preventing the unit from properly cooling the room. To fix this, set the fan to MED or HIGH while setting the thermostat to 1 or 2 until the ice melts. A dirty air filter can also contribute to this problem, so ensure the filter is cleaned at least every 2 weeks. (Page 19)
