How should I winterize the washing machine if storing it in a freezing environment?

To winterize, turn off the water supply, disconnect and drain the hoses, then add 1 gallon (3.8L) of nontoxic RV antifreeze to the empty drum, close the door, and run a spin cycle for 1 minute to drain out water. Then unplug the power cord, dry the drum interior, remove and dry the dispenser drawer compartments, and store the washer upright. When returning the washer to service, run an empty complete cycle with detergent to remove the antifreeze before adding laundry.
