How do I set up the card deck before starting a game?

Make sure all Light Side cards are facing one way and all Dark Side cards are facing the opposite way. Each player draws a card to determine the dealer (highest number wins, symbols count as zero), and the dealer shuffles and deals 7 cards to each player. The remaining deck is placed Light Side down as the Draw pile, and the top card is turned over to start the Discard pile.
