Why is there water remaining in the bottom of the dishwasher after the cycle?

First, ensure the cycle has fully completed by checking that the Clean indicator is on — if not, close the door and press START to resume. If connected to a food waste disposer, check that the knockout plug has been removed from the disposer inlet. Also check for kinks in the drain hose or food obstructions in the drain or disposer.
