How do I deep clean the lint screen when residue has built up on it?

Clean the lint screen with a nylon brush every 6 months, or more frequently if it becomes clogged due to residue buildup from laundry detergent and fabric softener. Wet both sides of the screen with hot water, scrub with a nylon brush and liquid detergent, rinse with hot water, and thoroughly dry with a clean towel before reinstalling. Signs that the screen is clogged include lint falling off the screen while it is still in the dryer or longer drying times. (Page 8)
