What should I do if my dryer won't start?

Check that the controls are set in a running or 'On' position, the Start button has been pushed firmly, the dryer is plugged into a grounded 3-prong outlet, the electrical supply is connected, the household fuse is intact and tight (or circuit breaker has not tripped), and the dryer door is closed.
