What safety precautions should I take when working with the welding cables?

Keep cords dry, free of oil and grease, and protected from hot metal and sparks. Frequently inspect input power cord for damage or bare wiring and replace the cord immediately if damaged, as bare wiring can kill. Do not use worn, damaged, undersized, or poorly spliced cables, and do not drape cables over your body.
