What safety precautions should I follow to reduce electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure while welding?

To reduce magnetic fields in the workplace, keep cables close together by twisting or taping them, and arrange cables to one side and away from the operator. Do not coil or drape cables around your body, and keep the welding power source and cables as far away from the operator as practical. Additionally, connect the work clamp to the workpiece as close to the weld as possible. Pacemaker wearers should consult their doctor before going near welding operations. (Page 4)
