What should I do if the dial tone does not sound clear during configuration?

If the dial tone is too loud or too soft, first adjust the headset volume level. If it still does not sound clear, adjust the configuration switch on the base until the dial tone sounds best. Note that multiple settings might work with your phone, but only one is the optimal position. (Page 3)
