How do I remove and clean the dishwasher filter?

Turn the upper filter assembly a quarter turn counterclockwise and lift it out, then gently pull it apart to separate the two pieces. Rinse the filter under running water until most soils are removed, using a soft brush for hard-to-remove soils or calcium deposits. Do not use a wire brush or scouring pad, as these may damage the filters. After cleaning, reinsert and rotate the upper filter assembly clockwise until it locks into place. (Page 12)
