What should I do before using my dishwasher for the first time?

Remove all packaging materials and read the entire Use and Care Guide before using the dishwasher. You should scrape large food soil and hard items from dishes, properly load the dishwasher, add detergent, check the rinse aid dispenser, run hot water at the sink nearest the dishwasher until it's hot, then press the desired cycle and option selections followed by START/RESUME.
