What should I do before using the washer for the first time?
Before washing clothes for the first time, run the Normal cycle without any clothes to ensure the interior is clean. Use only HE detergent and add ½ the manufacturer's recommended amount for a medium-size load. This initial cleaning cycle prepares the washer for use.
