How should I hold the radio and position the microphone when talking?

When using your radio as a traditional two-way radio, hold the radio in a vertical position with the microphone one to two inches (2.5 to 5cm) away from your lips. Also, you should transmit no more than 50% of the time to comply with RF exposure limits.
