How do I winterize the Bestway Flowclear 58515 sand filter?

First, backwash the sand filter, then drain the pool according to the pool owner's manual. Disconnect the two hoses from the pool and sand filter, completely pour the sand out of the tank, and dry all components. Store the sand filter in a dry location out of children's reach, as allowing water to freeze will damage the filter and void the warranty. (Page 9)
