How do I identify the programmed code for a device on my remote?

Press and hold the Program button until it lights red, select the device category, press the A button, then press the 1, 2, 3, and 4 buttons one at a time, counting the flashes of the red indicator light to identify each digit of the code. If the light does not flash when pressing a digit button, that digit is 0. Press the A button to exit when finished. (Page 13)
