How much detergent should I use in my Bosch dishwasher?

With soft water, 1 tablespoon (15ml) of detergent will clean most loads, and you should never use more than 3 tablespoons (45ml). If you do not know your water hardness, start with 15ml and increase only as necessary. Using too much detergent with soft water can cause etching in glassware. (Page 10-11)
