Why is there standing water left in my dishwasher after a cycle?

Check that the drain hose is not kinked, clogged, or improperly installed, and ensure a portion of the drain hose is at least 20 inches above the dishwasher's enclosure floor. Also check that the filter system is not clogged by inspecting and cleaning the filters. Additionally, the kitchen sink drain may be clogged, or if an air gap is installed at the sink, it may need to be cleared. (Page 17)
