How much detergent should I use in my Bosch dishwasher?

For soft water, 1 tablespoon (15ml) of detergent will clean most loads, while hard water or heavy soil may require up to 3 tablespoons (45ml). The detergent dispenser cup has measurement lines at 1 tablespoon (15ml) and 1.75 tablespoons (25ml) to help guide you. Never use more than 3 tablespoons and avoid using hand dishwashing products, as they can damage the dishwasher. (Page 12)
