First drain the water by removing the sealing cap from the drain hose and letting the water flow out into a container, emptying it as needed. Then carefully unscrew the pump cover, clean the interior, pump cover thread, and pump housing, ensuring the impeller can rotate freely. Refit the pump cover tightly, and pour 1 litre of water into compartment II and run the Empty programme to prevent unused detergent from flowing into the drain. (Page 18)
